There are times in our lives when we want to move our relationship to a higher level. Maybe this is prompted by struggles, events or life stressors that have interrupted growth as a couple. Whatever the reason, you will find that I am understanding and grounded in the belief that a strong relationship is evidenced by each individual making the other a better person.

Why me?

  • My post graduate training was in marriage and family counseling at the Family Therapy Practice Center in Washington, DC.
  • For 40 years I have assisted couples and families in improving their communication and interactions with each other as well as with other family members.
  • I have a strong understanding of the impact of substance abuse and chemical dependency issues on families.
  • I have specific knowledge and experience to assist you in navigating complex challenges.

As your family therapist:

  • I will work to understand the many perspectives and developmental dynamics occurring in the family interactions.
  • I will assist you in understanding what adjustments may improve your interactions, communication and relationships.
  • I may offer separate sessions to work with the entire family, subsets of the family (parents, siblings, specific parent-child, etc.) or individuals after we have defined the goals to be worked on.
