Getting started in counseling can be confusing and potentially scary. I want to make it as comfortable as possible for you and your family, so feel free to contact me with any specific questions.
My fee structure is based on the requested services. I am not paneled with any insurance companies, but can provide a receipt that can be used to submit for out-of- network reimbursement.
If you decide you want to start services, contact me via email, phone or by completing the Contact Form on the Contact Page. I will clarify your needs and talk with you about the beginning of services.
A link to my electronic medical chart will be provided so you can
- set up your Client Portal
- complete the needed forms to get started and
- request the initial appointment.
Typically, a clinical service will begin with an evaluation to determine your needs and the level and type of services.
Evaluations may include:
- Clinical interview appointment
- Associated questionnaires
- Collateral contact with family members, past or current therapists or physicians, probation officers or attorneys
- Drug screening which would then be scheduled at a nearby lab such as LabCorp
I individualize the collateral contacts to meet your needs and situation and would have you consent to any contact prior to my including anyone else in this process. I will work to protect your confidentiality and not include anyone without your permission.
Once all evaluation components are completed and reviewed, we will develop an action plan. In some cases, a report is needed. We can discuss this based on your needs.
You will be asked to provide your credit card information at the time that you set up your client portal which will allow for the evaluation and any future counseling sessions to be billed after the session occurs. The HIPAA and secure health record platform I use allows for credit cards, debit cards and HSA/FSA cards for payment. We can discuss any specific needs at the time of our initial contact.
