I offer a weeknight video Substance Abuse Education class on an alternating monthly schedule. This three-hour class is designed to address individual’s use of substances and provide a good understanding of how the substances discussed impact the brain and other organs as well as behavior. Additionally, time is spent reviewing the stages of chemical dependency and other dynamics associated with the use and abuse of mood-altering substances.
This program is a 3-hour class that includes psychological & physical effects of alcohol, marijuana and other substances; use-abuse differences, definition and discussion; defense mechanisms, consequences of abuse, decision making; and refusal skills.
Cost: $125 for the 3-hour class. Payment is set up in the client’s chart once they establish their portal and payment method and is expected before each session.
Process: The individual needs to call or email George Young to schedule and confirm date/time of program. Once that occurs, George will send them a link to set up their client portal payment option for the class. Once completed, they are registered for the class and will be sent a link to the video session. After completing the class, the individual will receive a certificate of completion.
