Group Programming
functions is my high school treatment group. It is a weekly program comprised of two 50-minute sessions that occur between 4-6 pm on Wednesday afternoon. In the first 50-minute session, the students participate in a treatment group with an me on goal identification and progress, with a particular focus on the student’s abstinence from substances and functioning within their family, school and community. At 5 pm, parents participate in a group forum to explore changes they need to make to provide support, modeling and direction for their families.
Adult Treatment Groups are held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, and Friday morning. Each group is a 60-minute session. The focus of the process-oriented groups varies, addressing decision making, mental health issues, abstinence and recovery topics. (see the Substance Abuse Page for more specifics).
A Young Adult Treatment Group is currently being held on Friday morning at 11. Each group is a 60-minute session. The focus of this process-oriented group, like the adult session, varies addressing decision making, mental health issues, abstinence and recovery topics. (See the Substance Abuse Page for more specifics).
Phase I: A minimum of 16 weeks spent improving functioning in the following areas*:
- Abstinence or sobriety from all substances
- Improved family interactions
- Improved academic or work performance
- Improved mental and physical health
- Participation in treatment
After completion of Phase I, the treatment plan will be reviewed to determine if Phase II aftercare will be utilized. This is where the client (and parents for functions) will return to groups on a monthly basis for a minimum of four months. Typically, this will be set for the first week of each month. Graduation occurs after completion of Phase II.
